2012 is FLYING by! We can hardly believe that it is summer already. But! It has been an incredible year so far. As we enter into the third quarter, we want to share some of the things that have been going on in both Minnesota and in California.

We have already hired 2 new interns for the summer that support Nkechi and our operations team in San Francisco. We’ve also added some very talented guest bloggers this season and we hope to continually provide interesting and relevant content for all of you! We have decided to be more strategic with our postings– we feel that our blog supports the re-branding of ArielSimone. We have carefully chosen writers who are fun, approachable, stylish and girls we would want to hang out with! Make sure to check it out!

We’ve also added a new online retail space--Copious , which is a fashion tech company in SF. We actually were able to be a part of their website photo shoot, where we pulled ArielSimone pieces. We are excited that one of our skirts made the landing page!!

We are finally listed on I like What You’re Wearing— check out our current listings and these gorgeous images! We are thrilled.

Something else we are thrilled about are our new product– headbands! We are excited to be moving into accessories, and these are just so stylish and fun and can be worn on any occasion. These are a must for summer! Make sure to stay connected to hear about all of our amazing summer promotions.

What is going on in SF 

As you know, last quarter we had a big change– Nkechi moved to SF to expand ArielSimone. She is working with a talented team out in California on a re-branding project which is expected to launch the first week in September. We have strategically planned to reveal our make over during SFFW, where we hope to show our S/S13 collection. The uncovering of our new image will also happen to co-incide with our very own, brand-new retail website and an SF launch party! We are so extremely excited about this! Stat tuned for more details soon.

Of course we can’t forget the shows. We had a very fun time showing at KTWIN Show at The Brick (Downtown Minneapolis).

ArielSimone Q2 Newsletter

As we enter into the second quarter, we want to share some of the things that have happened and are happening! 2012 has been an incredibly exciting few months so far.  We will be saying goodbye to our first full-term intern and keeping another on for the summer.  We have built a manufacturing team and while learning along the way can be challenging at times, we are pleased to have stream-lined  a process that works for us. With that news, we have added another boutique in Minneapolis. In addition to Cliche, we will soon be selling at Corset, which is now located on Mainstreet in Hopkins, but will eventually move to Edina. We have had the wonderful pleasure of expanding our networks both online and in person. We just reached 500 likes on facebook, which at a year ago, we were at just a little less than 200.  Our blog readership is increasing– which is really exciting! We have added some very talented guest bloggers this season and we hope to continually provide interesting and relevant content for all of you! We’ve also added a new online retail space– I Like What You’re Wearing (ILWYW), which gives us the perfect segway to introducing our amazing staff photographer Mirza Nizamuddin.

He has been with us at the majority of all our shows last quarter and has shot all our recent retail photoshoots. We can’t  thank him enough, his work and generosity is truly unmatched. We are happy to report that we have a solid team right now, and we feel unstoppable and excited for what’s next.

What IS next?

We have some bitter-sweet news. ArielSimone is expanding! And in our growth, we feel that we are ready to move and set up in California. For this to happen, we have to say goodbye to Nkechi Njaka, who will continue to direct and support the operation and communication efforts from afar. She also will be representing the brand to new boutiques and presenting our collections to a new fashion community. She is very excited about this move and we promise to keep you posted!

Of course we can’t forget the shows. Some of our favorite events so far this year were Cliché’s Avoid the Grey and Arena Dances  Arena Bikini Beach Baby!  We also took a trip to Chicago and we were able to show our pieces to Chicago fashionistas as well as make some great connections.

Meeting with I LIKE WHAT YOU’RE WEARING

Hello, Happy Tuesday!! I’m sure you’ve noticed that we’ve been short on the blog posting. Part of that was due in part to our ArielSimone team being split up around the country last week and this week. From LA to NYC, we have been a little off schedule. But we do have a very interesting update to report.

While in NYC, we had a very important meeting with a brand new retail site.

I Like What You’re Wearing  is an ecommerce, shoppable online fashion magazine that features the hottest next-generation fashion designers.  By seamlessly combining ecommerce and publishing, ILWYW are perfectly allowing readers to click and buy items they like right off the editorial photos and pages. We love this concept and are so excited to be apart of this fantastic project.  We met with Oliva Gossett, the brain child of ILWYW along with other really amazing fashion projects, and her colleague Tomm Zorn featured below.

Our next steps will be selecting garments for our first collection on the site. We will keep you posted on the progress and let you know when the site launches! We love adding new retailers that we can really stand behind. We are super pumped to see what the future holds with this new budding fashion relationship!
