Film Review of Man on a Ledge by Lucie Jane

Last night my boyfriend and I attended a pre-screening of the film Man on a Ledge.  As college students and because of our social media presence through twitter and Facebook, we get invitations to pre-screening events often.  It’s definitely a way to get a look at a potentially great films and for no cost.  The film, directed by Asger Leth, is released on January 27th 2012, starring Sam Worthington and Elizabeth Banks.  IMDb gives this as a summary:
“As a police psychologist works to talk down an ex-con who is threatening to jump from a Manhattan hotel rooftop, the biggest diamond heist ever committed is in motion…”
I would say the above is pretty accurate, but it leaves out the mess of connections that link the diamond heist to the ex-con.  There are twist and turns that I honestly did not see coming a mile away.  This is also one of the only films I have seen in a long time that had truly nail biting moments of suspense.  Being on a ledge on the 21st floor of a building in NYC would terrify anyone, so there are definitely some stomach lurches along the way.  This movie is definitely a must see!

On a more fashion related note, check out my guest blog post next week for behind the scenes info on my upcoming photo shoot with Laura Fulk. 🙂
