Now that Minnesota Fashion Week is over, we thought we would review the events that we were able to attend. A full list of the calendared events served as a guide for us to navigate our way through all of the parties and shows.
In addition to the Kick-off party, we were able to make it to the Bright Society Event, The Fashion Networking Happy Hour, The Parc Boutique Fall Preview and Little Black Dress fashion show. We took a TON of photos and they will all be up on Facebook in nice organized albums. But until then, here are our thoughts with our favorite photos.
Bright Society Event- Hosted by l’etoile, at the Alexander Ramsey House. Designers Max Lohrbach, Samantha Rei, Russell Bourrienne, Danielle Everine, and Laura Fulk will showcase one-of-a-kind creations, inspired by a garments from the Historical Society’s collection. Our favorite design of the day was Max Lohrbach, featured below.
The Fashion Networking Happy Hour- Hosted by Sol-Inspirations, a Minneapolis-based eco-fashion company at the Red Stag Supper Club in NE. They had three models fashioning renewable and sustainable garments that were recycled (our favorite is featured below), which is a niche we haven’t had too much interaction with so far. Very inspiring indeed (and we always love the idea of leaving less of a ‘carbon footprint’). We met some pretty interesting people- new business owners, stylists, models, jewelry designers, makeup artists, etc and headed en masse to the Parc Event, which was conveniently across the street, two blocks away.
Parc Boutique– a fall collection preview with short runway and trunk show held at the casual, contemporary shop in Northeast Minneapolis. Parc is known for its charm, simplicity, and making guests feel like they are taking a stroll through a quaint neighborhood.
Little Black Dress Fashion show- Located at the new St Paul Bar Amsterdam, celebrated designers Max Lohrabach, Maritza Ramirez, Danielle Everine, Ivan Idland, Raul Osorio, Sarah Holm, Amanda Christine, George Moskal, Laura Fulk, Jenny Carle, Emma Berg, Jenn Bratvold and Nicole Larson presented two looks– the every women staple piece- a LBD and another look. It was very informal but it was a fun night. Our favorite pieces were designed by Raul Osorio, which is the front centered dress in the photo below.
