A word from the designer behind the genius, Adrienne Yancy:
Since 2006 my clothing line has been hand-made. I love to create exciting designs and silhouettes that you can’t find anywhere else.
I originally launched my business from my college dorm room at Howard University with the sale of a sexy halter dress, and now I have developed ArielSimone into a full collection sold online at a number of handmade and fashion sites, and in boutiques.
The ArielSimone collections feature an array of styles for the confident fashion-forward woman including swimwear, separates, cocktail dresses, and one-of-a-kind gowns.
Since college I have continued the grow and develop ArielSimone from my home base in Plymouth, Minnesota, however, my collection is inspired from my life of international travel with visits to Paris, Mexico, and the islands of St. Croix. A particularly strong influence was The Bahamas where the local flavor and vibrant colors are now reflected in the fabrics and styles I choose.
The unique style of ArielSimone blend sophistication, class and elegance to create designs for a variety of shapes and sizes that appeal to all ages. My style is personal, custom, and one-of-a-kind.
I am inspired by the bold fashion and lifestyle choices of Josephine Baker. Her use of vibrant colors and rich fabrics are meant to accentuate a woman’s individual beauty and allow her to celebrate her style in what she wears.
There is a time and a place for everything; a time to be classy, a place to be sexy and ArielSimone covers the entire spectrum. The women who wear ArielSimone are interested in fashion and certainly know when, where and how much skin to show. This line is sexy and sophisticated, and designed to accentuate the loveliest parts of a woman’s body with the class and style that discerning fashion clients expect.
ArielSimone has been featured in numerous fashion shows on a national level including shows in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, New York and Minneapolis. ArielSimone has also been featured in several papers and magazines including Essense Magazine, Plymouth Magazine, Mpls. St. Paul Magazine, The Knot, Vita.MN Magazine, The Star Tribune, The Upload, and City Pages.
